Bart Van Nuffelen

Bart Van Nuffelen is a writer and one of the artistic directors of Martha!tentatief, a small and agile urban theatre company specialising in true stories of ‘ordinary’ people and how they relate to the urban reality that surrounds them – a reality that is often baffling. These stories take shape following an intensive period of research. To this end, Martha!tentatief consistently collaborates with a vibrant and diverse network of urban organisations and academic partners. But above all, the company throws itself wholeheartedly into the city, searching for the people behind the trends, for the reality behind the observations, for the big stories of ordinary people.
