A venue in the heart of the city of Antwerp where children, young people and artists can meet and collaborate artistically in the best possible circumstances. We are a connecting partner for education and other organizations in the city. A place that reflects the belief that imagination brings people together, strengthens them and nourishes them with the confidence that society can always be reimagined.

hetpaleis is a performing arts centre for young audiences. We encourage children and young people in their experience of the arts: as spectators, discussion partners, participants or as young artists.
hetpaleis is a city theatre. It caters to a broad urban audience, embraces diversity in all its forms and is committed to community building.
hetpaleis produces high-quality work for the main auditorium. It programmes various artistic disciplines and supports a diverse range of artists in their development.

How does hetpaleis work with children and young people?
At hetpaleis, children, young people and artists constantly nurture, inspire and engage with one another. We believe in high-quality and innovative arts of equal value for children. This translates into four pillars:
