for everyone from 8 year
Glorious Bodies is a moving and hopeful performance about the resilience of our bodies and one of the last taboos in the circus world: the ageing body. Acrobats are elite athletes and usually stop intensive training at a certain age. How do their bodies transform? And how do they cope when confronted with their own mortality?
Six acrobats between the ages of 56 and 68, all with a background in (more or less) classical circus, return to the spotlight under the direction of Piet van Dycke with an impressive mix of partner acrobatics and dance.
With greying charm and a healthy dose of humour, they show that there is no age limit to what the human body is capable of.
