Trailer Park, a performance by choreographer Moritz Ostruschnjak that premiered at the German Staatstheater Mainz in 2023, has been touring the world since then and was one of the highlights at the renowned Tanz im August festival in Berlin. Now the show is going to be performed in Belgium for the first time.
Ostruschnjak asked ten dancers to select dance clips they liked from platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This resulted in an archive of around 600 clips and trailers from which they copied short fragments and then reassembled them.
Together, they explore on stage how the increasing digitization of our lives influences our physical and social experiences. Every few seconds, they change their dance style or facial expression, their outfits reflecting a youth culture rooted in algorithms and energy drinks.
A choreography that perfectly captures the zeitgeist and makes an impressive transition from the virtual to the physical space.

In order to minimise disruption to the performances, hetpaleis requests that you switch off your mobile phone before the start of the performance. Eating, snacking, drinking and photography are not permitted.
Responding to the performance is of course allowed, and even encouraged!
