Use this form to plan your school performances and workshops. 
Schools are also welcome at all our evening and weekend performances. This way, you can give your pupils a taste of a real theatre experience. Bear in mind that only a limited number of tickets are reserved for (school) groups.
 

school lottery
As demand for certain performances and workshops exceeds supply, hetpaleis uses a lottery system to determine the order in which we process requests. The programme for the 26–27 season will be online from 6 May 2026. You can submit requests for school performances and workshops until 20 May 2026. In the week of 8 June 2026, you will find out which performances and workshops have been reserved for your class.

Too late for the lottery? You can of course still submit requests for performances, workshops and guided tours online throughout the school year. Sign up for the newsletter for teachers. That way, you’ll always be the first to know.

Are there not enough seats available for the performance you want to see? We’ll put you on the waiting list and send you an overview of performances for which there are still seats available.

1 supervisor per 15 pupils can join free of charge. Additional supervisors cost €8. Supervisors for pupils in special needs education are free of charge.

Groups from the DKO, higher education, and adult education pay €10 per student. From 15 students onward, 1 supervisor is admitted free of charge.

Rates for workshops may vary depending on the workshop. Be sure to check the workshop page for current prices. 

Are you a teacher and would you like to visit hetpaleis in your free time? Enjoy a discount with your Teacher Card (website in Dutch).

On the day of the performance or workshop, you’ll receive an email with payment details. If any pupils are absent, we will reduce the total fee by a maximum of 10%. Friends schools are automatically granted their discount.

Do you need an invoice or do you have an order form? No problem. Contact a member of the info & tickets team and we’ll be happy to help. We expect your bank transfer within 30 days. So don’t forget to forward the payment instructions to the right person within your organization.

Friends schools

• Thanks to friends of hetpaleis, schools with a high number of ‘indicator pupils’ can benefit from financial support. Friends schools receive a €2 discount on school performances and pay 30% less for school workshops. 

Klas op stap

• Klas op stap, part of the Antwerp Education Network, supports schools in the city of Antwerp in organizing school outings. Check out the options on their website.

Cultuurkuur

• Cultuurkuur brings art and culture to your classroom. Request support for your dynamo project.

Travel for free to hetpaleis with De Lijn

• DynamoOPWEG will take your class to hetpaleis for free with De Lijn. Visit Cultuurkuur for more information.

Cultuur(shock) vouchers

• Pupils can use the cultuur(shock) vouchers to buy tickets for performances in their free time. Book your ticket via the ticket line or at the ticket desk.

Up to 30 days before the performance, you can cancel free of charge, make changes to your booking, and provide billing details and order forms.

Before every school performance, we’ll send you an email containing a video explaining our theatre codes. In this video, actor Joris Hessels uses animation to explain how a visit to the theatre unfolds and what the rules are. Ideal for watching in class, so that all pupils are well prepared and the theatre visit becomes an even more enjoyable experience. 

The video is available in different versions: 

• for kindergarten and primary schools 
• for secondary schools 

If digital teaching materials are available before the performance, we’ll send them to you in advance by email. You can also download the materials at any time from the web page for the specific performance.

A spot is created for every production of hetpaleis. This is an online platform containing a lot of additional information: interviews with the creators, drama and visual assignments, music extracts, short videos, etc. Set to work with your class before or after your visit to the theatre!

For certain performances, we provide introductions at school or at pre- or post-performance discussions. Specific school workshops help pupils to become even more familiar with the content of the performance.
