Surely everyone knows that?!
Having said that …
Isn’t lying just … imagination bubbling up?
An anti-boredom machine?
Or simply a way to stop feeling sad or scared?
In short, isn’t lying more like … a superpower?
And by the way … are adults themselves always honest?
This world of lies, a utopian white jumping palace, is a place you’ll want to linger in.
In this show by De Nwe Tijd and hetpaleis, we dive into the wondrous world of lies. We follow three young performers as they discover what lying is, all the things you can do with a lie, but also how you can get lost in lies. They are accompanied live by Erik Bogaerts on saxophone, while a bouncy castle grows with every lie told in the auditorium. Until it bursts.
LIEGEN is a story full of excitement and jokes. An ode to the imagination. A performance that whizzes through you like a mini rollercoaster. Perfect for anyone aged 6 and over who occasionally twists the truth.
